THE PROJECT
IdeoDist is an add-on designed to enhance a user's personality on instagram. The main purpose of the supplement is to be able to compare more than just pictures with each other to reduce the mental illness this contributes to. IdeoDist makes it possible to find common interests and personality traits with other profiles that use the service. With the emergence of Instagram, a new opportunity for identity creation was also created. This means that large parts of the everyday interaction take place through a digitized framework that the individual self can with great care influence how it wants to be presented. The ability to choose how to present oneself has become a driving force and the primary need in the brain is motivated by this. The purpose of IdeoDist is that the evaluation of the service provides an objective assessment of one's actions, where everyone is judged equally with the aim that it will be more realistic in the digital world we are in today. IdeoDist requires an interest of the user as a certain commitment is required for that the service should be able to make as good an assessment as possible. The service functions as Artificial Intelligence and uses all the information it can measure to gradually build up an increasingly reliable user profile.

DESIGN
TARGET GROUPS
IdeoDist is aimed at young people and young adults between the ages of 14-24 using instagram.
A study conducted by The Guardian (Campbell, 2017) showed that individuals in these ages are the leading target group who suffer from mental illness caused by Instagram and other social media. The reason seems to be because Instagram is a picture-driven platform, which often leads to a feeling of inadequacy and anxiety among many young people. Why this happens is because today it is almost impossible not to compare yourself with others on these networks. This contributes to a great deal of pressure on how to present oneself and in order to counteract the fact that mental illness continues to grow, a change in the social media that we know today is required. In many cases, the leading companies, such as Instagram, do not want to make too big changes despite the statistics on users who feel bad. A separate add-on that you can choose to download yourself can help this target group feel better.

UTILITY & FUNCTION
This service will be useful for Instagram users who are willing to try to see social networks from a more realistic perspective. What worked well with IdeoDist as a supplement is how it discreetly blends into Instagram without being in the way and that it gives a clear picture of how different profiles relate to each other in the form of pie charts. The complements created to increase the reliability of IdeoDist also work well as it contributes to a stronger and clearer profile. This also gives the user a chance to participate and contribute to their data base without being able to replace the automatically generated variant. Instagram is one of the most popular social media in the world, but many users are concerned about their privacy when using the service. A major challenge has been knowing how much and what type of information to display publicly on IdeoDist without contributing to increased unhealthy behavior in the form of stalking or negative comparisons between profiles.
RESULTS
USER DATA - IDEODIST
User data is collected through:
Personalized profiles
Questionnaires - how users feel about certain content
Mapping time consumption on Instagram
Gives personal recommendations
Initially, users are asked questions to map the individual's personality and interests and what the user feels good about seeing for posts on instagram and to be
connected with like-minded users.  Over time, fewer and fewer questions pop up as a user profile has been created.
INTERFACE PATTERNS
When creating a mobile surface every design decision needs to be made with a small screen surface in mind. The challenge in a mobile interface is to provide information, without creating an "Information overload". Therefore some Interface Patterns were used that offers information at the right time, in a small area, with interactive possibilities to broaden the information.
INTERACTIVE PROTOTYPE
The prototype was developed in Axure, an interactive tool for creating prototypes. Axure provides real user experience where interaction can be tested and improved before fully developing the application.
